College application season is right around the corner, but with so many postsecondary options available, deciding which colleges to apply to can be overwhelming for a high school senior. Fortunately, there is an abundance of tools and resources available that can help them decide where to apply.

Florida CAN’s College Decisions Resource List includes a curated list of websites, handouts and additional resources school counselors, educators, college access professionals and others can share with the students they work with to support them through the college search and selection process.

Updated for 2016, the College Decisions Resource List includes the best tools and information with Florida students in mind. Included are national resources like the College Scorecard and College Abacus, as well as more Florida-focused tools like FloridaShines and BeyondEducation.org.

A downloadable version of the list can be found here.

These resources and other valuable information to help students navigate through the college application process are also included in the Apply Yourself Florida toolkit, which can be found here.

Apply Yourself Florida, which begins in October of each year, aspires to help every high school senior apply to at least one postsecondary institution. Apply Yourself Florida belongs to a suite of statewide initiatives coordinated by Florida CAN known as College Ready Florida. These initiatives, which include the Florida FAFSA Challenge and Florida College Decision Day, are designed to build a college-going culture and help all high school students, especially low-income students and those who are the first in their families to go to college, continue their educations beyond high school.
