Last month, the JAX Chamber received a one-time $40,000 award from the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) acknowledging Earn Up, the postsecondary attainment collaborative initiative that the organization coordinates.

ACCE’s Award for Education Attainment recognizes chambers of commerce and business organizations that have demonstrated momentum in setting an education attainment agenda and establishing innovative postsecondary attainment goals and strategies within their communities.

Selected from a competitive pool of 27 applicants, the JAX Chamber was one of six organizations to receive the honor this year.

“We are thrilled to receive this award from ACCE as an acknowledgement of the strength of our Earn Up collaborative,” said Tina Wirth, the chamber’s vice president of workforce development, in a press release. “The Award will allow us to better connect adult learners, specifically our military veterans, with the information and opportunities they need to earn an industry certificate or college degree in one of our targeted industries in Northeast Florida.”

Florida CAN congratulates the JAX Chamber and Earn Up on receiving this coveted award!
