Florida CAN is thrilled to announce the City of Jacksonville is one of 22 cities selected to receive a FAFSA completion grant through the National College Access Network (NCAN). The grant was awarded to Duval County Public Schools, a partner of Earn Up, the local college access network serving Northeast Florida.

The initiative, supported by a $1.6 million grant from the Kresge Foundation, challenges the 22 cities to raise the FAFSA completion rates by 5% for the graduating class of 2017.

Additional funding will be awarded to the cities that demonstrate the greatest improvement percentage-wise in FAFSA completion, the highest high school FAFSA completion rate, and the most innovative FAFSA completion effort or partnership with postsecondary institutions during the challenge.
