The last day to apply for TheDream.US scholarship is February 15, 2016 at 11:59 PM (CST) for students planning to attend college during the 2016-17 academic year.

TheDream.US scholarship fund is designed to help motivated college-bound students with undocumented immigration status (“DREAMers”) pay for college. These scholarships are in place to assist undocumented students who currently are not eligible for federal aid because of their immigration status.

Students who demonstrate financial need and a willingness to succeed can receive up to $12,500 toward an associate’s degree and up to $25,000 toward a bachelor’s degree.

To qualify, DREAMer students are required to be eligible for the federal government’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival (DACA) program and be a first-time college student. Applicants for the scholarship are also required to attend and be accepted to one of TheDream.US’s partner colleges, which in Florida currently includes Broward College, Florida International University, Miami Dade College, Palm Beach State College, Valencia College and the University of Central Florida. For a complete list of all partner colleges, click here.

Scholarships are available for first-time in college and transfer students. To learn more about each program’s eligibility criteria, visit TheDream.US’s scholarship guidelines.
