Earn Up, a local college access network serving the six-county region of Northeast Florida, launched their latest initiative, the Northeast Florida Military Veteran College Network (NFMVCN), in November.

The new network leverages support from regional universities and colleges to help veterans and active service members more easily navigate the higher education system. These institutions include Edward Waters College, Florida State College at Jacksonville, Jacksonville University, Nova Southeastern University, St. Johns River State College and the University of North Florida.

Veterans and active service members can browse the available resources through a webpage on the Earn Up website. The site brings together resources available to Northeast Florida veterans onto one user-friendly online interface and includes helpful information on how to turn military experience into college credit, how to apply for education benefits as well as where to seek workforce training and professional development opportunities.

The network also seeks to address the barriers that prevent military personnel from completing their degrees, share best practices, and develop new methods for promoting military student enrollment and improving overall experience.
